First unit – Empathy – Needs of Others

  1. Start with a small poem or song (look for it …)
  2. small group checking in about mournings and celebration on empathy last week
  3. small exercise
  4. big group sharing – catching up from last time with the topic of empathy.

Second unit – Self-Empathy – My Needs

  1. Language that Obscures Choice
    How to translate “I have to, I should, etc.) in “I choose to …”

Third unit – Hearing No – Life behind a “No” (kids, others)

  1. Go through a list of “Nos” and practice hearing the Yes behind the No
    Demo and working in the group
  2. Individual exercise: Ask people to take a minute and think of a situation where somebody says “No” to them and write it down. Work in pairs 2×10 minutes (20 or 30 minutes) to translate the No into Yes to Feelings, needs and request.
  3. Work in the whole group – questions and harvesting

Fourth unit – Hearing No – Life behind a bigger “No”

  1. Individual exercise: Ask people to take a minute and think of a situation where somebody has a bigger “No” to you and write it down. Work in the group or in pairs?

Gratitude – Connecting with Important Needs

Input – the need for presence

    Do adult have and kids have different most important needs?

    We say thank you a lot, but we do it in jackal.
    Let’s work first on hearing the fulfilled needs behind jackal gratitude.
